Our Accessory Picks from Local Female Founders

Happy March everyone!  Did you know that it's Women's History Month? We love celebrating our Hawai‘i-based female founders, so in this blog, we'll be sharing Lana's (our founder) and Abby's (our sales & marketing director) picks for Spring accessories made by local women. Although the first day of Spring isn't officially until March 20, we're can't wait for this season, so we couldn't wait to share–  check them out below!

Lana's Pick

Mohala Eyewear: Aviators | @mohalaeyewear

I'm loving Mohala Eyewear's aviator sunnies! I totally feel like I could have been a fighter pilot, and this pair makes me want to go watch Top Gun (lol)...
Mohala Eyewear's sunglasses aren't like your standard sunglasses because they are made to fit your face, any face! If you find that your frames slide down your nose, give you headaches or rest on your cheeks, then you need to find the Mohala pair that's made just for your face shape.

The best part about Mohala? The company donates one week of school for each sunglasses purchase and one day of school for each accessory purchase to the Room to Read Girls’ Education Program.  Its founder Ashley Johnson is all about women empowerment, and we love that!

Pieces of Amber: Earrings | @piecesofamberhi

My friend and lady boss Amber Bade lost her job when COVID-19 hit Hawai‘i in 2020, and so she became a stay-at home-mom with her two-year-old.  She needed something to stay productive so she began to explore jewelry making with polymer clay!  From teaching herself different techniques to making them as Christmas gifts, Amber found a new passion–and that's how she started Pieces of Amber, a small business that allows her to be creative while working from home with her` son.

I absolutely love her polymer clay earrings because she handcrafts them in the most adorable Hawai‘i-inspired designs like monstera leaves–and island favorite! I love these earrings for myself or for gifting to friends and family.

Browse her earrings HERE. DM her to order!

Happy Women's History Month!
